Eggheads in the Embedded Systems Laboratory at Switzerland's École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne are working on a vest that lets you control a drone by "flying" in your chair like a crazy person.
It's called the Fly Jacket.
You wear VR goggles, and control an actual drone by leaning side to side or forward and back.
Because you're immersed in the drone's-eye view, and because the drone and the view respond to your every flying movement, you feel like the Flying Nun.
The system controls were designed using cameras to find out what people's natural flying movements would be. Then then programmed the system to respond to those natural movements in the expected way.
